Renowned Kenyan scholar and anti-corruption advocate, Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, popularly known as PLO Lumumba, and maritime expert Captain Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director, Operations and Technical Services at Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, were among key speakers at the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Yenagoa Branch Law Week in Bayelsa State.

The discussions centred on the protection of Africa’s strategic national assets and the need for stronger governance and security frameworks across the continent.

Prof. Lumumba delivered the keynote address on the theme, “Sustainable National Assets Protection in Africa: Opportunities, Risks and Regulatory Pathways,”

while urging stronger institutional accountability and regulatory reforms to safeguard critical national resources and promote sustainable development.

Captain  Enisuoh, speaking as a panelist, brought perspectives from maritime operations and critical infrastructure protection, drawing from his experience at Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in the security of strategic assets within the Niger Delta and broader maritime domain.

The high-level plenary session was chaired by former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, while B. M. Ugo served as paper presenter and moderator.

Other panelists included Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri; Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku; Idi Abba; and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dele Adesina.
