CP Agbaminoja Hosts New Tincan CAC Anani, Reaffirms Commitment to Joint Security

The newly appointed Controller of Customs, Tincan Island Port Area Command, Comptroller J.A. Anani, on Friday paid a courtesy visit  to the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police Command, CP Oluwatoyin Iyabode Agbaminoja, psc, mnips, at the Command Headquarters in Apapa, Lagos.

 

The visit was aimed at reinforcing inter-agency cooperation and strengthening the longstanding partnership between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring security within the maritime domain and facilitating legitimate trade operations at the nation’s ports.

 

During the engagement, Comptroller Anani commended the Ports Authority Police (Western) Command for its consistent efforts in maintaining law and order within the port environment. He emphasized the need for sustained collaboration among security and regulatory agencies to effectively address emerging security challenges and improve operational efficiency within the ports.

In her response, CP Agbaminoja warmly welcomed the Customs Controller and congratulated him on his appointment. She reiterated the Command’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service and other stakeholders to further strengthen security across all seaports under its jurisdiction.

 

She further noted that enhanced intelligence sharing, joint operations, and coordinated strategies remain essential in tackling criminal activities and safeguarding critical national infrastructure within the maritime sector.

 

Both leaders expressed a shared commitment to building on existing synergy between their agencies in order to promote a secure, efficient, and globally competitive port environment.
