NNPP Hails Tinubu’s Choice of Amupitan as INEC Chairman

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Prof. Amupitan as the new chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). According to the party’s Secretary General, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, the appointment was a welcome development and a testament to the president’s commitment to reforming the electoral body.

Comrade Oginni spoke against the backdrop of controversies surrounding the appointment of INEC chairmen in Nigeria. He noted that Amupitan had his work cut out for him, particularly in restoring the trust and credibility of the commission, which had been eroded over the years.
