In significant development, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has declared Mr. Dipo Olayoku, the former Secretary-General of the association, persona non grata. This decision came following a joint session between the NAGAFF National Executive Council and its board, where they deliberated on Mr. Olayoku’s involvement with the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
According to NAGAFF, Mr. Olayoku’s expulsion stems from his role in representing NAGAFF at the NNPP’s National Working Committee, where he allegedly engaged in activities deemed detrimental to NAGAFF’s interests. The association accuses Mr. Olayoku of orchestrating unauthorized changes to the NNPP’s flag, logo, and constitution during an illegal convention.
In a statement issued by NAGAFF, they express disappointment in Senator Kwankwaso for allegedly being deceived by Mr. Olayoku’s actions. NAGAFF asserts that such actions amount to theft and condemns any attempts to undermine the integrity of the association and its affiliated political party.
Moreover, NAGAFF called for immediate action from Senator Kwankwaso to dismiss Mr. Olayoku from his role within the NNPP, citing his involvement in anti-party activities and gross misconduct. The association emphasizes the need for accountability and adherence to party regulations to maintain the integrity of the political process.
While acknowledging recent legal developments regarding the NNPP’s internal crisis, NAGAFF affirms its commitment to pursuing legal avenues to address the situation. They stress the importance of upholding party principles and ensuring that disputes are resolved transparently and in accordance with established procedures.
NAGAFF expressed gratitude to its president, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, for his financial support towards legal services in navigating the current political challenges. Additionally, the association urged Governor Abba Kabir to prioritize good governance over internal party conflicts, emphasizing the need for stability and progress in Nigeria’s political landscape.
