The newly appointed Controller of Murtala Mohammed Customs command, Comptroller Michael Toyin Awe, has promised to exceed the command’s revenue target.

Comptroller Awe made this commitment during his assumption of leadership from the out going  controller, Comptroller MS Yusuf.

He posited to build upon the existing structures and work together with the command’s officers and stakeholders to surpass the revenue target.

Earlier in his speech,  the outgoing controller said that he was able to increase the command’s revenue  from N68 billion in the previous year to N90 billion last year.

According to him, this feat was achieved due to his open door policy and effective stakeholder engagement. Comptroller Yusuf encouraged the officers to dedicate themselves to their duties and support the new Customs area controller, Awe, while also advising Awe to be open-minded and adopt a similar open door policy for success in his new role.
