The Executive Director, Technical of the TANTITA Security Service Limited, Captain Warredi Enisuoh has commended the federal government for having approved the establishment of the security outfit which today has achieved a giant stride in securing key Petroleum Products pipelines against vandalism and theft of the products in the Niger Delta.
Captain Enisuoh who is also Ambassador- Extraordinary, AFMESI made the commendation in Lagos while chatting with members of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria, MARAN at the sideline of the forth Annual Symposium and Workshop organised by the African Marine Environment Sustainability Initiative, AFMESI, held in Lagos.
Captain Enisuoh said though Tantita is not hundred percent successful in checking the menace of the pipelines vandalism in the region but noted that from where they are, there’s a great difference hence expressing gratitude to those who made the decision because Tantita is not into it’s operations because of the commercial side of it at the moment.
The difference he explained, is in the clean river that one can see now compared to the situation years ago.

He reminisced about the first time he went to the Niger Delta to carry out a Research on how to go about the Tantita operations, he said the foul smell of crude oil on the water was awesome and he could see dead fishes floating on the river due to the pollution of the water but today, all that are changing and that is one of the benefits hence thanking the federal government for the project.
On the marginal reduction of pipelines vandalism by the hoodlums in the region, Captain Enisuoh said that Tantita may not be on a one hundred percent scale but is surely on a seventy percent scale.
While answering questions on the current challenges plaguing the Organisation against fulfilling its mandate, the Executive Director, Technical of Tantita Security Services said the presence of foreign ships stii sailing into the nation’s waters to steal Petroleum Products poses a big problem.
“Before now they were powerful enough to come inside but now, with the round – the – clock surveillance of Tantita, which is ever ready to grab them, they now operate a little bit away from the coast, for fear of possible apprehension by Tantita and it is not going to be for long”.
On what role the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, are doing to checkmate the incursions of foreign vessels into the nation’s waters with a view to illegally lift petroleum products, Captain Enisuoh said that question should be addressed to those Agencies for possible answers.
For a company which has barely survived two years, to have made such a great impact in the life of the people of region, by changing their evil tendencies against the critical Petroleum Products assets and become like co – owners of such facilities today, speaks volumes about the milestone impact of Tantita, a company Captain Enisuoh said, though small but has more than forty nine thousand people on its payroll.
For his invaluable commitment and contributions in deploying his double mantle expertise and leadership as a ship Captain and also Aeroplane Pilot, Captain Warredi Enisuoh has brought a lot of technological as well as technical innovations into leveraging security architecture in the Niger Delta, with the resultant peace and tranquility experience in the region today courtesy Tantita Security Services Limited.
It was for these noble reasons that the Organisers of the African Marine Environment Sustainability Initiative, AFMESI, 2024 Symposium and Workshop honoured him with an Ambassadorial Award at its event in Lagos.
