The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has raised concerns about alleged spiritual attacks targeting its members in Kano, Ogun, and Katsina States.
In a statement issued by Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, Secretary General of the NNPP, the party attributed the attacks to “known enemies” and assured members that they remain under divine protection.
The NNPP emphasized that its members are “children of God” and should not fear these purported spiritual threats. “Anyone with God is with all and duly protected,” the statement read.
Comrade Oginni alleged that certain individuals seeking to undermine the NNPP have resorted to spiritual practices.
“It is to our knowledge that they have visited India, Niger, Morocco, Maiduguri, Katsina, Egypt, and Cameroon, meeting with evil spiritual men of God to help them hijack the NNPP,” he claimed.
He further stated that actions such as unauthorized changes to the party’s logo and colors are regrettable and indicative of an affront to divine will.
“Those holding NNPP property illegally shall lower their hands, and we, the children of God, shall collect our belongings back,” Oginni declared.
Despite the allegations, the party called on its members to remain peaceful and refrain from casting aspersions on key figures such as Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Elder Buba Galadima.
Oginni conveyed the directive of the NNPP’s founder, Dr. Aniebonam Boniface Okechukwu, urging members to avoid insults or abuse
. “The founder insisted that judgment and vengeance are of the Lord, noting that Senator Kwankwaso added value to the greatness of the NNPP,” the statement read.
The NNPP reaffirmed its commitment to providing exemplary leadership for Nigerians in the future, particularly beyond the 2027 general elections.
The party also urged its members to pray for national leaders, including the President and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to foster peace and stability in the country.
Comrade Oginni concluded the statement by reassuring members of the party’s resilience and divine backing. “Victory shall be ours shortly,” he said, while extending compliments for the upcoming festive season.
The NNPP called for unity among its members, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to the party’s ideals. As the party navigates these challenging times, it remains hopeful for a brighter future for Nigeria under its envisioned leadership.
