The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has announced a prayer session aimed at seeking peace for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), currently experiencing internal turmoil.

According to a press release made available to our correspondent, this prayer session is also in support of Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate, who was recently expelled from the party for alleged anti-party activities.

Scheduled for Thursday, May 16, the prayer session underscores NAGAFF’s role as the parent body of the NNPP, founded by Dr. Boniface Aniebonam. In a statement released by NAGAFF’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Clement Iwegbuna, the association emphasized its ongoing appreciation for the contributions of Sen. Kwankwaso during the last general election.

“NAGAFF and its members, as the parent body of the NNPP under the leadership of Dr. Aniebonam, shall continue to appreciate and remember the role played by Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in the last general election of 2023,” the statement read. “It is our hope that God shall intervene in the internal wranglings of the NNPP and also give Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso the wisdom to retrace his steps in the issues concerning the NNPP and his role therein.”

Dr. Iwegbuna recalled a similar situation where divine intervention was sought during the Kano State governorship election, resulting in a favorable outcome at the Supreme Court. He expressed confidence that prayers would again bring resolution to the current crisis within the NNPP.

“We hope and believe that God will answer us again during this trial period of internal crisis,” the statement continued. “Accordingly, all NAGAFF members nationwide are to join us in prayers, and together, we shall forge ahead to elect a great leader in Nigeria at God’s time.”

The planned prayer session reflects NAGAFF’s commitment to unity and stability within the NNPP, aiming to ensure the party remains strong and cohesive amid ongoing challenges.
