The remains of Mr. Richard Adeniyi, a member of Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), will be laid to rest in his country home, Ondo, Ondo State, on Saturday June 8, 2024.
Mr. Richard Adeniyi, a seasoned journalist, died at the age of 86 years in April 2024.
While alive, he worked with many newspapers including Daily Times. He was a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists and actively participated in the Lagos State Council.
As an active member of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), he contributed significantly to the development of the nation’s seaports through reporting.
His burial rites will start with service of songs and Christian Wake on Friday, June 7; interment on Saturday, June 8, and followed by reception at Ariya Event Centre, Olufisayo Street, Sabo Road, Ondo.
