The International Maritime Institute of Nigeria (IMION), the Nigerian Navy’s research and think-tank institution, has launched a three-day executive course aimed at strengthening expertise in logistics, trade facilitation and the development of Nigeria’s Blue Economy.

The Executive Course on Logistics and Trade Facilitation for Blue Economy Growth is scheduled to hold from September 7 to 9, 2026, at the IMION Auditorium, NNS QUORRA, Harbour Road, Apapa, Lagos.

In a statement signed by IMION Management on Wednesday, August 12, the institute said the programme is targeted at C-Suite executives, policymakers and senior strategists involved in shaping policies, business decisions and implementation strategies within the maritime and trade sectors.

The institute said the course is designed to provide participants with strategic knowledge and practical perspectives that can help bridge the gap between local implementation and international standards in logistics and trade facilitation.

IMION noted that as Nigeria intensifies efforts to maximise the economic opportunities within its maritime domain, developing the capacity of senior professionals and decision-makers remains critical to achieving sustainable growth in the Blue Economy.

According to the statement, the programme will also contribute to strengthening trade, security and economic development within Nigeria and the wider Gulf of Guinea.

The course begins at 9:00 a.m. daily, while the participation fee is ₦350,000.

Interested participants are required to make payment into the following account:

Bank: United Bank for Africa (UBA)
Account Name: International Maritime Institute of Nigeria
Account Number: 1027637249

The programme reflects IMION’s focus on professional development, research and strategic capacity-building in support of Nigeria’s maritime ambitions.
