Ezenwa Commends MARAN Strides in Maritime Industry

The Founder of Le Look House of Bags, Chief (Mrs.) Chinwe F. O. Ezenwa has hailed the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) for the strides it has made in the sustainable developments of the maritime sector of the economy.
Ezenwa who was an erstwhile Director in the Federal Ministry of Transportation before her retirement over a decade ago was full of praise for what members of MARAN have done to create an impact since the establishment of the association more than 30 years ago.
She stated this in Lagos recently when MARAN presented her a plaque in appreciation of her generous contribution to the successful hosting of the 2024 edition of MARAN maritime annual lecture (MAMAL) which took place at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Multiple awards journalist and Publisher, Maritime Bits, Rev. John Iwori presented the plaque on behalf of MARAN to Ezenwa.
Describing MARAN as an association of journalists that have made their marks in the maritime industry, Ezenwa who was the former Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) which has its corporate headquarters in the Kogi State capital, Lokoja stated that the efforts of the association cannot be eroded.
She stated that MARAN has done well in consistently bringing burning issues in the maritime industry to the public domain over the years.
“I was not expecting this. Help me thank your President and every member of MARAN that I have receive this award whole heartedly. Thank you very much for this kind gesture. I appreciate every one of you. Thank you and God bless for this kind gesture”, she added.
Ezenwa who is also the Managing Director and CEO, Ocean Serve and Logistics Limited reiterated her resolve to continue to contribute in her own little way to the sustainable development of the maritime industry.
On behalf of MARAN, Iwori thanked the septuagenarian for her warm welcome even as he promised to convey her message to MARAN President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere and the entire members.
Established over three decades ago, MARAN which remains the umbrella body of media practitioners covering the maritime industry has its secretariat in the heart of Nigeria premier port, Apapa, Lagos.
