f Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria has been playing a significant role in shaping national policies in logistics and transport in the country.
Speaking at CILT Nigeria 2025 National Conferenc/AGM on Wednesday in Lagos, President, CILT Nigeria, Barrister Mfon Usoro said ” As a leading professional body in the field of logistics and transport, CILT Nigeria has been working closely with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and other relevant organizations to promote excellence and best practices in the sector”
Under the leadership of Barrister Usoro, CILT Nigeria has forged strategic partnerships with major stakeholders, including the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Bureau of Public Procurement, and the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management.
The CILT president noted, “These collaborations promote professional development, dual certifications, and sector-specific training, enhancing the profile of CILT qualified professionals nationally.
” It helped align professional training with industry and military standards, enhancing career pathways for logistics and transport professionals nationwide
“CILT Nigeria’s digital transformation efforts and financial reforms have also contributed to its success. The Institute has achieved a 242% increase in revenue and a sevenfold growth in liquid assets, now standing at N123 million”
She emphasized that “the success of our digital transformation efforts, improved financial management, and governance reforms under my leadership has positioned CILT Nigeria for a bright future ahead.” This reflects enhanced accountability and transparency, positioning CILT Nigeria for a bright future ahead.
The 2025 Annual Conference of CILT Nigeria showcased the Institute’s commitment to shaping national policies in logistics, supply chain, transport, and the Blue Economy,with the theme: Enhancing Logistics and Transport for Sustainable Blue Economy in Nigeria.
The conference featured an award presentation to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, among other awardees.
The awards recognized their contributions to the development of the logistics and transport sector. Barrister Usoro expressed gratitude to the awardees, stating, “We are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of these individuals to the growth and development of our sector.”
