*** Calls for Sustained Unity and Progress in Urhobo Land
Chief Capt. Anthony Onoharigho, Ph.D., Life Patron of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide and Chief Executive Officer of Conarina Marine Global Services, has reaffirmed his commitment to the unity, development and progress of the Urhobo nation following a visit by the leadership of the UPU Worldwide.
The President-General of the Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, Olorogun Barr. Ese Gam Owe, led members of the union’s national executive on a courtesy visit to Chief Onoharigho at his country home in Oria, Umiaghwa, Abraka Kingdom, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on issues affecting the growth and advancement of Urhobo land, with participants exchanging ideas on ways to strengthen unity and promote sustainable development across the ethnic nationality.
Welcoming the delegation, Chief Onoharigho expressed appreciation to the President-General and members of the executive council for the visit. He described his appointment as Life Patron of the UPU Worldwide as a great honour and a responsibility he is committed to upholding.

He noted that the recognition would further inspire him to support initiatives aimed at fostering peace, unity, cultural preservation and socio-economic development within Urhobo communities.
Chief Onoharigho also pledged his continued support for the UPU, assuring the leadership of his readiness to contribute his experience, resources and influence towards advancing the collective interests of the Urhobo people.
Responding, the President-General of the UPU Worldwide, Olorogun Barr. Ese Gam Owe, commended Chief Onoharigho for his longstanding contributions to the growth and development of Urhobo land. He described him as a dedicated son of Urhobo whose commitment to community service and development continues to inspire many.
The UPU President-General also appreciated the warm reception accorded the delegation and prayed for continued good health, divine protection and greater accomplishments for Chief Onoharigho.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by both parties to work together in promoting initiatives that will strengthen unity, accelerate development and secure a brighter future for the Urhobo nation
