The Nigerian Navy Secondary School (NNSS) Abeokuta recently emerged victorious in the relay race competition at the 8th Annual Sports Competition, outperforming five other schools to claim first position.
The competition, held at Command Secondary School, Lafenwa, Ogun State saw NNSS Abeokuta demonstrating excellent teamwork, speed, and coordination, bringing pride and honour to the school.
Speaking at the event, the Commandant of NNSS Abeokuta, Captain OA Adesiyan congratulated the students on their remarkable achievement and urged them to remain focused on academics while developing their skills and talents.

“The students’ victory showcases their dedication to both training and discipline,” she said. “Sports offer opportunities in life, including scholarships, career advancement, and personal development.”
Captain Adesiyan who was represented by Dy Lt Cdr KS Muhammad, encouraged students to balance academics and extracurricular activities for overall success.

The Brigade Commander also commended the students for their excellent performance and sportsmanship, saying, “Your victory is a testament to your hard work and dedication.”
He congratulated Officers, men, and civilian staff for their support and dedication to the students’ growth, urging them to remain committed to serving Nigeria by adding value to students’ lives through mentorship, discipline, and quality education.
In another event, NNSS Abeokuta emerged first at the Invitational Relay Race competition organized by Mueenat International School Abeokuta in February.
