The Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (CON, mni), has embarked on an operational tour of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and other military installations in Enugu and Imo States.
The Minister arrived in Enugu on Thursday and was received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of the Joint Task Force Southeast, Operation Udoka, Major-General H.T. Dada, alongside other senior military officers.
During the visit, H.E. Badaru is expected to inspect various military platforms and installations as part of efforts to assess operational readiness and foster collaboration among security agencies in the region. The visit also includes a critical engagement with key South East stakeholders to deliberate on security challenges and chart a way forward for sustainable peace and development.
The tour underlines the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening national security and enhancing military operations in regions experiencing security concerns.
