The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) 100% Compliance Team will recommission its office on Friday, January 30, 2026, in Lagos. This was disclosed by the team’s Chief of Staff, Bartholomew Okeke, in an interview with some  journalists at the team’s headquarters on Tuesday.

Okeke explained that the compliance team was inaugurated in February 2021 as the enforcement arm of NAGAFF, tasking it with ensuring that extant rules and regulations are strictly observed by practitioners and government agencies.

The team has been relocated to a new office due to the previous location being taken over by the management of the complex. He described the recommissioning as a relaunch aimed at repositioning the team to enforce regulations more effectively.

According to Okeke, the compliance team has achieved a 60% compliance rate from both operators and government agencies, crediting the use of technology for reducing human interference in processes.

However, Okeke acknowledged that challenges persist, including individuals in government agencies prioritizing personal gain. He assured that the team is connected to relevant agencies and will tackle such issues head-on.

He further highlighted that the compliance team has been involved in several high-profile cases, including blocking arbitrary terminal charge increments and resolving issues with shipping lines. Okeke emphasized that NAGAFF, with the largest membership in the industry, will continue to protect its members and the economy.

Okeke urged NAGAFF’s over 1,000 members across the country to comply with regulations, emphasizing that the team is committed to enforcing the law.

The event will feature notable industry leaders, including NAGAFF Founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, National President, Tochukwu Ezisi, and all NAGAFF members. Okeke invited stakeholders, including Customs officials and other government agencies, to attend and witness the relaunch.
