The President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has sent his passionate greetings to Muslims across the globe during this Holy month of Ramadan.

Bunu describes the Ramadan period as a time of sober reflection, a time for the atonement of our wrongdoings in the presence of the Almighty Allah; saying it’s indeed a time for sober reflection in His presence to ask for forgiveness.

The MWUN leader said that during this holy month of Ramadan, people must renew their mindset by enhancing all ties, and amending ways across all families, communities, and governments, and by remembering brothers and sisters in Nigeria and across the world; and those affected by wars and insecurity, reminding them that the Almighty God is still in charge and there’s nothing He cannot do to save His people.

He emphasized that insecurity, criminality, and crimes against humanity still prevail, and have taken over major communities in Nigeria and globally. The MWUN PG is seeking the face of the Almighty God this Ramadan to restore peace and love, believing that no problem is too big for Him to solve.

Bunu also said Comrades and Nigerians should reflect on the Marine and Blue Economy’s role in supporting national growth. He urged Muslims to pray for Nigeria’s perpetual peace and progress, standing strong in solidarity and recognizing their shared humanity.

The statement, signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, wishes all Muslims a happy Ramadan season.
