The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has received a formal letter of appreciation from the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) for its exceptional role in hosting the 39th edition of the CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship. The tournament took place in Abuja from April 1-14, 2025.
The CAVB President, Bouchra Hajij, described the tournament as a historic milestone, marking the first time in many years the championship was held outside North Africa. She praised the NCS for setting a new benchmark in sports hosting, redefining excellence and inclusivity on the continental stage.
The NCS demonstrated its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through its hosting of the tournament. The event showcased world-class facilities, seamless logistics, and an electrifying atmosphere that invigorated both participants and spectators.
The CAVB commended the NCS’s strategic planning and generosity, highlighting the importance of empowering women and youth through sport. The event’s success served as a model for how institutions can lead in advancing inclusive development.
The CAVB hailed the NCS as “an ample and able partner of African Volleyball,” noting that the 2025 edition of the tournament will leave a lasting legacy and serve as a model for future championships across the continent.
