The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of November 14 Resorts Limited, owners of Colours Hotels & Suits, Mr. Emmanuel Nkemdirim, has described Nigeria’s hospitality industry as one of the country’s fastest-growing and most profitable sectors, urging investors to take advantage of the opportunities in the business.

Nkemdirim made the remarks on Saturday during the official unveiling of the rebranded Colours Hotels & Suits in Obele, Magbon, Badagry, Lagos, where guests witnessed the launch of the hotel’s upgraded facilities and expanded services.

Addressing journalists after the ceremony, the retired Deputy Comptroller of Customs said the hospitality sector continues to thrive despite economic challenges because people will always seek quality accommodation, relaxation and entertainment.

“The hospitality business is booming in Nigeria today. It remains one of the most rewarding sectors because people will always seek comfort, relaxation and quality services,” he said.

He explained that the unveiling marked the completion of a comprehensive renovation and repositioning of the hotel to meet modern hospitality standards.

According to him, the project was a rebranding exercise rather than a change of name.

“We retained the name Colours Hotels & Suits because it already had an established identity. What we have done is give the facility a fresh look and expand our services with the addition of a modern event centre, a club and a fully equipped DJ stand, among other new features,” he said.

Nkemdirim disclosed that investing in the hospitality industry had been a personal dream for nearly two decades, adding that the vision has steadily grown into one of Badagry’s emerging hospitality destinations.

He expressed confidence that Colours Hotels & Suits now offers facilities and services that compare favourably with leading hotels in the area.

The hotel’s location, he noted, has never limited its growth, attributing its success to strong customer relationships, quality service delivery and an extensive network of loyal patrons.

“Our guests come because they trust our services. Hospitality is about creating memorable experiences, and that is what we are committed to providing,” he added.

In his welcome address, Nkemdirim appreciated guests, business associates and friends for honouring the invitation despite their busy schedules.

He said the rebranding represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

“Since we started operations in 2018, our goal has been to provide exceptional services and create a true home away from home for our guests. Today, we are proud of the progress we have made and the reputation we have built in the industry,” he stated.

Reflecting on the company’s journey, he acknowledged that the hospitality business has experienced stiff competition, changing consumer preferences and economic headwinds, but said resilience, innovation and dedication to customer satisfaction have kept the business on a steady growth path.

He also expressed gratitude to customers, members of staff and business partners for their unwavering support, describing them as the driving force behind the hotel’s success.

Nkemdirim said the newly upgraded facility would enable the hotel to deliver even higher standards of comfort, luxury and memorable experiences to its guests.

The event also featured an Award Gala Night, during which distinguished Nigerians from different sectors were honoured for their ou
