The National Single Window (NSW) Committee has launched its end user training programme, urging stakeholders to participate.
The training begins on Monday, February 16th, 2026, ahead of the Single Window Platform’s deployment on March 27, 2026.
Director of the NSW Committee, Mr. Tola Fakolade, urged importers, exporters, customs brokers, and freight associations to take advantage of the training sessions at townhall meetings held in Apapa, Lagos.

Stakeholders can register for the training at (link unavailable) According to the NSW Director, “The training is designed to guide you on how the system works, how to navigate it, and how to complete all the processes included in phase one of the project.”
The training is very important for stakeholders to prioritize so that when the Single Window Platform goes live, they will not encounter difficulties completing the processes. Fakolade emphasized the importance of registration, citing limited classroom sizes.
The end user training will run from February 16th, 2026, with sessions taking place in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and other regions. There are six locations in Lagos alone, allowing participants to choose the most convenient option.
Fakolade explained that the training will be hands-on, with laptops provided for participants to gain practical experience with the system. This will help stakeholders become familiar with the system and address any questions or concerns.
The NSW Committee is establishing a transition committee comprising representatives from all agencies involved in the first phase, including SON, Customs, Quarantine, NAFDAC, and NESREA. This committee will ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
The goal of the training and transition committee is to ensure that stakeholders are well-equipped to use the Single Window Platform, making the transition seamless and minimizing disruptions to trade.
