Mr. Emmanuel Maiguwa, President of Maritime Security Providers Association of Nigeria (MASPAN), has commended Tantita Security Services Limited for its impressive performance at the ongoing Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2025, due to end today.
Maiguwa noted that Tantita’s presence at OTC demonstrates its commitment to international play, that Tantita’s success in securing an international project could propel Nigeria into attracting improved international shipping, potentially boosting its bid for the IMO council seat.
MASPAN President encouraged other maritime security companies to adopt Best Management Practices (BMPs) to compete internationally.
Maiguwa thanked the Nigerian Navy for its partnership and support, which has enabled Nigerian companies to grow.
He also appreciated NIMASA and the Ministry of Maritime and Blue Economy for their efforts to improve security in ports and ships.
Maiguwa said players look forward to regular stakeholder engagement with NIMASA to resolve complexities in the maritime security space.
“By participating in the OTC conference, Tantita has shown that Nigerian maritime security companies can compete globally,” he added.
